| Allan Kardec's The Gospel According to Spiritism (2022 version by Cesar Bezerra) CHAPTER 28. PRAYERS (part 15 of 34) |
||
Thanksgiving for having escaped danger
36. Introduction. Danger warns us to mend our ways. It shows us that we can be called at any time to give account for the use we make of our bodily life.
37. Prayer. Dear God! I thank you for the help you gave me during the danger. Let it be a warning. May it enlighten me about the faults that have put me in hazard. Supreme Majesty! I understand that my bodily life is in your hands, and that you can take it from me whenever you want. Inspire me to usefully employ the time you have given me in this world. My guardian angel! Guide me to make amends for my mistakes and to do all the good within my abilities, so that I can arrive with fewer imperfections in the spirit world when God pleases to call me.
