||
Prayer during danger
34. Introduction. Our lives are in God's hands. Danger reminds us that our material existence is tied by a thread that can break at the least expected moment. Nobody is privileged. All are subject to peril, which should be regarded as a call to correction. If we are being threatened by other humans, we must pray also in favor of our aggressors, both incarnate and disembodied, because the moment is perhaps an opportunity for us to achieve peace with karmic creditors.
35. Prayer. Almighty God, please help us! Master Jesus! Please embrace with your gigantic love all of us here now, visible and invisible, so that peace may come! If I am spared may I, for the rest of my life, repair the wrong I have done and replace illusion with doing good. If I succumb, may your will be done.
